Green Neckelmann's costume

The Neckelmann's costumes appeal to me because they look good on stage and are easy to carry with you. I bought a second hand set on eBay and eagerly awaited it's arrival. It came with a $100 customes bill on import taxes (ouch!).
I took the bra apart and build a new one with metal wire in the top edge, sturdy straps and covered it with green fabric. Then beaded the bra to match the belt and added neaded fringe to the center of the bra. I also made a matching mermaid skirt and sleeves, even made a matching headband and upperarmbands in green with purple sequins.
It's one of my favorite costumes for restaurant dancing. If my memory serves me well I bought and converted it in 2004. |
