Burgundy christmas dress
Winter 2006
This was supposed to be my 2005 christmasdress. While working on it I got frustrated by getting the bodice to work. The top part is lined with non-stretch material because the trim is non-stretch too. I ended up throwing it on my pile of unfinished projects and wearing something else.
I pulled it out of the pile a year later when I decided two days before christmas that it would be fun if I had something pretty to wear.The frustration on getting that damn bodice to fit was dulled by the passage of time, so I managed to finish it in time for christmas 2006. The neckline was supposed to stand up, creating a nice v-shape in front, but it's not cooperating the way it should. I'm contemplating adding a pretty bead to the neckline to keep the two sides together. |
