| Fairy Princess gown spring 2005?? I'd made several corsets but never a full dress, so I decided that I wanted something pretty to wear to the Wave Gothic Treffen festival in Leipzig that year. I used a McCalls pattern and adjusted it a lot, threw the how-to notes away because I didn't agree with several of their choices and went for it. The underskirt, lowersleeves and neckruffle are made from white embroidery fabric with blue, lilac and gold thread. Very pretty, even though the hem damages easy with use. I found the perfect broche on a fleemarket in Leipzig, but didn't put it on the dress before taking the picture. It has a very distinctive fairytale princess feel to it, hence the name. Dress is fully lined in white cotton and bodice is boned with plastic boning. This dress is actually pretty comfortable and it stays exactly where you want it to stay. I train my garments well. |
